Tuition Assistance

St. Joseph Catholic School offers several financial aid and scholarship opportunities to parents in order to help offset the cost of tuition.

SJCS Needs-Based Tuition Assistance

Any current family or any new family may apply for need-based tuition assistance through our FACTS Grant & Aid portal. All assistance must be reapplied for every year through the FACTS Grant & Aid portal.

  • Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, Inc.

The Georgia GOAL Scholarship program is a Georgia law designed to provide families in our state with access to better educational opportunities for their children. All students receiving GOAL Awards have a calculated financial need (CFN), as determined by a third-party analysis, of a family’s ability to pay tuition.  In order to apply for a GOAL scholarship for your child, you must first apply to the school and be accepted to the school, and then complete a financial aid application through the FACTS Grand & Aid portal. The application system will determine your calculated financial need (CFN). If there is a demonstrated CFN, and the school has available funds, then the school will recommend you for the scholarship, and you will receive an email from GOAL to complete the award process.
Some additional information about eligibility for GOAL scholarships can be found at the GOAL Website

  • Our Lady of Guadalupe Scholarship

  • Local Fund

This is a need-based scholarship funded by the school to families who have a demonstrated calculated financial need.

  • Block Grant

This is a need-based scholarship provided by the Archdiocese of Atlanta to the archdiocesan schools to award to families who have a demonstrated calculated financial need.

Never Give Up Scholarship

The Never Give Up Scholarship was established in 2018 to commemorate the life of Robert Price, a man whose faith and hope inspired many.  Despite living with a disability, Robert rose above obstacles to become a loyal friend to the students of St. Joseph Catholic School, and a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He was a faithful attendee of the school Mass, always encouraging our students to “never give up.”  The goal of the scholarship is to allow more students and their families to experience the mission of St. Joseph Catholic School: Educating the mind, while expanding the heart.  We want to continue to cultivate a community with a heart, in honor of Robert Price.

This scholarship is available to middle school students (6th-8th). The application process requires the middle school student to write an essay (topic picked yearly) and perform a service project. The scholarship recipient will be awarded $1,000 a year, and the scholarship recipient can apply for the scholarship throughout their middle school years.  This could provide up to $3,000 for your child during their middle school years here at St. Joseph Catholic School.

Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program (GSNS)

St. Joseph Catholic School is pleased to partner with the State of Georgia to provide educational services to students with special needs.  While St. Joseph Catholic School can meet the needs of many students who have mild special educational needs, we are not able to provide services for all students with disabilities. Only students who are currently being served within the public school Special Education Program and who have an active IEP may apply for the Senate Scholarship (GSNS). Please visit the Georgia Department of Education Special Needs Scholarship website at: http://www.gadoe.org/External-Affairs-and-Policy/Policy/Pages/Special-Needs-Scholarship-Program.aspx for additional information on the scholarship.
