Meet Jenny Rittgers

Principal, St. Joseph Catholic School

With over 20 years of experience in Catholic education, Ms. Jenny Rittgers brings a steadfast commitment to faith formation, academic excellence, and building strong, mission-driven communities. Her career spans roles as a classroom teacher, admissions director, and diocesan director of faith formation, where she supported educators and catechists across more than 100 parishes and 20+ schools. She most recently served as Principal of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Rome, Georgia, where she led with vision and collaboration, resulting in a significant increase in school viability. Under her leadership, the school received multiple “Best of Rome” honors, reflecting its positive impact on families and the broader community.

Jenny holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Aquinas College, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University, and a Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia. She also completed the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education Curriculum Development Training. 

Throughout her ministry in education, Jenny has remained especially devoted to nurturing a vibrant Catholic identity, supporting teachers in their vocation, and fostering learning environments where students are known, loved, and challenged to grow in faith and knowledge.
