Pre-K4 at SJCS
Thank you for your interest in the Pre-K4 program.
Below are some points of interest about our Pre-K4 program at St. Joseph Catholic School:
- Students must be 4 by September 1st of that school year for admittance.
- SJCS Pre-K4 is a FULL day academic-based program; 8am - 3:15pm.
- Before care and after care are available to our Pre-K4 students.
- Our maximum capacity is 22. There is a fully certified teacher and a full day aide in the classroom.
- Our Pre-K4 teacher, Mrs. McNally, is currently nominated for Teacher of the Year in Cobb County!
- There is a full complement of enrichment area classes (art, computer, library, music, PE, Spanish) These classes are provided in the Pre-K4 room.
- Lunch for the SJCS Pre-K4 students will be in the classroom.

- Curriculum:
- This program is not kindergarten-lite. It is a developmentally appropriate program for 4-year-olds.
- There is a strong focus on language and fine motor skills.
- Discovery time allows the Pre-K4 students to interact while learning.
- Students will not be seated, doing worksheets – this is a very interactive, movement-based, language-rich learning environment.
