Computer

Computer science is an important aspect of a well-rounded education.  St. Joseph Catholic School is a 1:1 device school where students are taught to use the computer as a productivity tool. Students in grades Pre-K4 through 2nd grade use iPads while students in grades 3-8 use Chromebooks.  All students in the school receive instruction in keyboarding, computer management, Apple, Microsoft and Google products, file management, effective internet searches, internet safety, and computer etiquette.  In addition, students receive continual education in digital citizenship and responsible use of technology, while learning how to effectively evaluate and cite digital resources.  Our students are also taught how to safeguard their digital footprint.
