Educating the Mind, Expanding the Heart

All students, from incoming kindergarteners through eighth graders should be reading over the summer.  The goal is to achieve a quality reading time where the student is focused and actually retaining the information.  Let your child explore new genres and set aside some time everyday for reading.  Reading over the summer keeps many skills sharpened so that your child is not overwhelmed in the fall when we return to school.  We want to promote a LOVE for reading, so please encourage your child to pick reading materials which will spark his/her interests.

Below are the summer reading assignments for each grade. Choose the grade your child will be entering in the fallUnless otherwise specificed in the grade level assignment, all summer reading assignments will be due on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 which is our first day of school.
