Extended Care Program

The Extended Care Programs strive to provide an education that encompasses the whole person: the spiritual, social-emotional, intellectual and physical aspects. It is our hope that the children will find the extended program a safe and nurturing environment. We will work toward a positive atmosphere where children delight in being together to play.

The St. Joseph Extended Care Program is offered only for current school students.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Before School Care begins at 7:00 a.m. and runs through 7:35 a.m. every morning that school is in session. The program begins on the first day of school and ends on the last day of school. One adult supervises these students in the cafeteria. When Before School Care ends at 7:35 a.m., students are supervised by faculty members. While in Before School Care, students are expected to follow the same behavioral rules as during the school day. Students may engage in socializing, or play games during this time. Students may bring their breakfast.

The After School Program is available every day school is in session; it begins at dismissal time and runs through 6:15 p.m. The program begins the first day of school and ends on the last day of school. We are NOT OPEN on “snow days” or after early dismissal due to snow, ice or emergency conditions. Students in the After School Program follow a daily schedule which includes: quiet homework time, supervised gym play, snack, and supervised group play.

“Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and never succeed.”
