St. Joseph
Catholic School is a parish school. Father John Walsh
is pastor
of the school and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Students
of the school come from five metro counties: Cobb,
Cherokee,
Douglas Fulton, and Paulding. We serve thirteen area

The school has 9 grade levels, from kindergarten to
eighth grade, with a total student population of 485.
In each grade level we have two classrooms, with 28
students in each class. Students in grades K-3 are in
self-contained classrooms, while students in grades
4-8 are in departmentalized classrooms.
All students
receive instruction in the six core area subjects: religion,
English, reading, social studies, science and math,
as well as instruction from our Enrichment Area teachers.
The Enrichment Area is made up of: art, music, Spanish,
computer, physical education, library and guidance.
The school
employs 50 faculty and staff members. Of our full
time faculty,
over 30% hold advanced degrees; these 26 full-time
faculty members have a combined 191 years of teaching
service
to St. Joseph Catholic School.
