Spanish

Spanish is taught to students in grades K-8. The course is a conversational Spanish course, with immersion in the Spanish language during class time. For children in grades K-5 a Spanish workbook is used to introduce students to a basic everyday vocabulary. In addition, songs, games and music are used to help increase comprehension. For students in the middle school grades, a Spanish textbook is used for language development. Students are introduced to verb conjugation, grammar, and writing during class time.

Throughout the grade levels students are introduced to the rich history of the Hispanic communities. Project based learning is used to learn about the customs, geography, and economy of the Hispanic countries.
